FEEDBACKS OF INTERNS
Feedback from Ms.Ghazel Soni
I want to acknowledge my experience at Nav Uday (RFS) and how it gave me exposure and confidence in not just this field context but in other ways too. I loved to work with my fellow interns who turned out to be my source of motivation too. I feel whole heartedly grateful to both the counsellors I was guided with. It was a great opportunity to learn and observe clients and learn about how exactly to deal with them. Every member of staff has been helpful.
The concept of Psychosocial Rehabilitation is not just a term for me, it has become a good- great experienced in my personal life and habits too, I feel motivated and driven to find out more about this field. And above all, I wonder about coming here again and stay connected for important days and events.
My college report would be having lots of lessons, stories and experiences behind its text. It was a great opportunity to learn, a great place to feel encouraged and supported, counting every single day, it has been a blessing to get familiar with Nav- Uday family.
Thank You

Feedback from Ms. Namrata Chatterjee
My experience as an intern at Nav Uday Mansik Swasthya Sansthan has been deeply enriching.
Primarily, I have modelled the methods of the counsellors - Ms. Sheeba and Ms. Nikita. Working at a psychiatric facility is not for the faint of heart; it requires immense patience, compassion, skill, and professional integrity.
My biggest learning has been how to effectively interact with patients suffering from chronic mental illness . I've also learnt how to conduct cognitively/ emotionally engaging activities with the patients. Alongside this, I have been fortunate enough to be here for a few events and celebration like birthdays, Independence Day, Diwali, and World Mental Health Day. These events allow the patients to skillfully perform dances, skits, and songs. All this positively contributes to their mental health.
I am deeply grateful to Dr. Shashi Rai ma'am for allowing me to observe her OPD sessions, and promptly explain the illness of each patient she caters to. I am also thankful to Dr. Divya Prasad ma'am and Dr. P.K. Khattri sir for the classes they took with me. My learning journey was deeply enriched due to their contributions.
Lastly, I am grateful to the clients at Nav Uday for allowing me into their world and bring receptive to my interventions and suggestions.
I believe that fostering mental well-being for counsellors and caregivers is of supreme importance. I have had the privilege of being a part of India's mental health landscape for 2-3 years now and gain some experience through my interactions with professionals. I would like to suggest a workshop facilitated by me on the topic of ''Compassion Fatigue'' for mental health workers and caregivers at Nav uday. I would be happy to discuss the details and bring this in fruition.
I end this note with immense gratitude and regard for the entire workforce here. You are doing god's work.
Thank You
